Purpose of Creating Hierarchy

Hi Team,

What is the purpose of creating a hierarchy in Control Tower?
How will the product and its capabilities be impacted if I don’t create a hierarchy?

Hierarchy is an organizational structure - an arrangements of organizational entity that determines the operations of departments processes and bifurcations of user’s work area within that defined entity.

I went through the knowledge base. It doesn’t tell me what would be the impact of not creating the hierarchy.
I am doing a POC. Are these configurations needed?

Yes basically, for POC - you can showcase the hierarchy, entity for the business you are creating a solution, you can demonstrate the department, user’s work area, entity for which the solution is going to be deployed.
