Google Chrome Error message

GC works with the app I am trying to automate BUT when I open GC under your tool to start automation I get the attached screen-shot error message.

Hi,

You can try below steps -

Open AutomationStudio.exe.config file which can be found in <AssistEdge installation directory>\AssistEdge_CE\ACE\ directory.
Search for the key AddChromeExtension in the config file and set its value to false.
Save the file and restart the Studio.

The error still occurs – but the frame loads inside the tool.

I am going to attempt a few simple steps and then run debug-run and a test-run to see if we can just ignore the error while in development

I was mistaken – the frame does not load consistently

I added one control from the palette ( a set value) and then it would not reload to add a 2^nd control.

So I would have to say the fix DID not work.

Extension appears to be more application related rather than browser. Is it possible for you to connect to application developer to know root cause of this pop up

It is loaded by the corporate Group Policy

The root cause is your application is not handling the extension – I do not get any errors outside of your tool and the error message itself is from AssistEdge.

The setting Mohit had me modify, could it need to be modified elsewhere?

Hi Brett,

Similar to the setting you modified earlier, can you try setting the value for the key AddSeleniumExtensionInChrome also to false in that config file?
Restart the Studio after you have changed the value and check if you still see the error pop up.
