Difference between Select and Click

Hi Team,

Whenever I am doing Windows Automation, I am getting two actions. Select and Click

What is the difference between a Select Action and Click Action.

When should I opt for using Select action and when should I opt for Click Action?

Please help

Hi,

Click action invokes mouse click action typically performed on a button.
whereas,
Select is about marking text, cells, and similar items that will be subject to a user action (such as copying text), and also about picking options from a list.
