Backup of Elasticsearch Indices

Hi Team,

How can I take a backup/snapshot of elastic search indices?
Is there any capability to restore the backup?

This is possible with Opendistro Elastic snapshot.

You can check with below commands for Backup and Restore -

ae elastic backup
ae elastic restore

Hi,

Above command may not be available in previous version of AE.
Alternately for manual backup you can take backup of folder elasticsearch\data\nodes folder.
